How a completely new type of bread came to existence "The Smokaccia"
With the beginning of his perfect-recipe search in 2010 to starting his production in 2020, Chef Luca made a dream come true: He rediscovered the authentic taste of a focaccia together with the healthy lifestyle approach of today.
It began 10 years ago... Chef Luca was onto something. Besides his focus and passion for fine dining he became obsessed with making focaccia - not just another focaccia, he wanted to make the best Focaccia could ever possibly exist. Little did he know, it would still take him 10 years to achieve this goal. Originally coming from Italy, Chef Luca inherited the recipe from his grandmother - nonna Marianna, from whom his love for focaccia originated. Nevertheless, he wanted to enrich this focaccia. Every process of creation and bringing it to the new level is an intense experience, but through a lot of trial and error Chef Luca was getting closer along the way. There was a long period while already receiving enthusiastic reactions from many people who were served with his focacciaʼs, Chef Luca was still convinced he could make it better. 2020 was the year of transformation for everyone, so Chef Luca used his time off during the lockdown for creating the best version of his focaccia - bringing creativity, emotions and tradition together. On top of the process he smoked the focaccia which all together finally created - in his own words - ‘the perfectionʼ
A new type of bread was born; The Smokaccia; Super crispy on the outside, soft in the inside, while having the delightful sensation of it melting after a bite.
